White's Coinmaster series

I received my White's catalogue in the mail today, and I noticed these 3 detectors. I also noticed that they have water resistant housings. So I couldn't help but wonder why these machines seem invisible on the forums. Everybody goes on and on about the ATPro, but hardly a peep about the Coinmaster. Does anyone use a Coinmaster? What do you think?

Thanks,

Dan

The Coinmaster's are really not water resistant. The only Coinmaster to consider is the GT for features to price. The Garrett AT series are waterproof.

I watched some videos of the Coinmaster in action. Can't say I care for the multiple tones. Sounds like a cross between the noise you hear at a casino and watching Nintendo's Mario brothers.

Even though the ATpro could use some features on the CMGT model like the larger display, backlite and ground track it still will out perform the CMGT. But the ATpro does cost more. For more serious hunting the Whites M6 is a better machine than the CMGT by far.

Yeah, just curious, that's all. I'm happy with Tesoro products, but I was surprised when I read the water resistant comment in their catalogue. Not even really sure why I requested a catalogue. I guess more curiousity. I think if detector companies want to come out with new machines, they should focus on water proofing and wireless headphones. I think the VLF technology is pretty much maxed out so they need to bring something else to the table. I'm running wireless headphones on my Vaquero and it is awesome.

Yeah, pretty soon wireless headphones will be standard a guy would think..

Having used the earlier Prizm IV and currently owning a Prizm 6T I have to agree with Dan on the tones. I run the 6T on the single tone setting as the multiple tones are first of all too many and confusing and I just plain don't like them anyway. In other respects IMHO the 6T is a pretty good detector, but is/was too close to the price of the M6 imo to compete well.

I agree... doesn't seem to be much of a reason to travel up the Whites Coinmaster line if u start with the Coinmaster. From Coinmaster you might as well jump to the M6 as an upgrade
