Whites coinmaster pro review?

Hello all,
I am getting back into metal detecting after a two year break and would like some input from the experts...
I am looking to buy my 11 year old son a coinmaster pro and I would like to know if anyone here has any experience with the coinmaster pro. Please share any thoughts you may have on the issue. By the way, I got my DFX and Minelab explorer II out of storage, after charging batteries the minelab would not work, and the dfx powered right up!
Thanks in advance for any input you may provide.

The CM Pro is a great beginners detector and he would get a lot of use from it. The only advise I might offer is the CM coils are not compatible with your DFX if you should have a selection of coils that you would want to share. For a little more money, you could get a nice used M6 or MXT and share coils and batteries. He would also be moving up to the serious class of detectors with better resale ability if he decides the hobby is not for him.

The biggest advantage to the CM PRO would be the weight. It weigh's less then 3lbs verses 4+ for the upper end machines. Not sure how long an 11 year old would last. The 6T has several top of the line features and still comes in at 3lbs. Like Larry says though, the choice of coils is limited if you wanted to interchange.

I just bought my first detector which is a CM Pro, it seems to be a good machine I have
found foil at 8". If I ever get Lucy enough to find old coins I'm positive this machine
will find them

I know this is a older post but the coinmaster pro works like a champ i have used this machine ALOT LOVE IT BUTTT like said before this machine only has one coil but i have found mercs rosies halfs and IT LOVES OLD LEAD BULLETS AS WELL, RELICS, IVE HAD 10 INCH DEEP TARGETS AND LIGHT YOU CAN SWING THIS MACHINE ALL DAY LONGG ...AND IF THE CM TELLS YOU THERES .25cents there BET ON IT ....WHITES 4 LIFE
