Whites CoinMaster - Metal Detecting A Historic New England Inn

This weekend, I went metal detecting at a historic inn in New England. The inn was built in the early 1700's and housed many famous people in it's time. I got permission to hunt some walking trails out behind the inn. Along the trail is an old mushroom house built in the 1930's. We started finding musket balls out in the woods. On the Whites CoinMaster, they were coming up as zinc pennies and the majority of them were at around 4 inches down. I also found a flintlock part to an old musket. We spent the whole day metal detecting and we both walked away with some great finds.

Wow, that looks like a great spot. I'd give anything to be able to hunt a colonial site. Nice work...
