Whites classic idx and nail problem help please?

Hello everyone I need some help!! I bought a used Whites Classic IDX and been trying to use it at old house sites with tons of nails and it has been driving me nuts. Should I go with a smaller coil? How good is this machine? I am having the nail problem and was wondering what can I do to help me hunt these sites. The nails are driving me nuts especially since I was using a 9.5 coil and I was having a hard time seperating the tones. I would really appreciate hearing everyones thoughts for my problem that I am faced with. Should I get a better machine or is this machine good enough? Thanks :bouncy:

and the ONLY coil I use for general searching in one of the 6

You could take a $1500.00 detector there and have the trouble you speak of. Sites like that require you to use a 5.3 coil. If your really hardcore then you just might need to dig out those nails to find any goodies. Or find a cleaner site to hunt.
