White's carry bag size?

I was wondering are all Whites carry bags 51'' long? I bought one and it is still to short for my XL-PRO Detector even at the shortest rod setting? I would like it to fit out having to push in the rod? And the width is too narrow for the 9.5 coil also. Do they make a larger bag to fit a full length Detector?

Even though there are minor variations between some of my "gunbags" , it's mostly in how the pocket on the side is designed. Some pockets are larger than others, some have a zipper, some don't. One bag only has one zipper pull, while all the rest have two. All seven were purchased from White's and all are 51 inches long. I don't have a problem fitting my detectors in the bags. Even the TDI's 12 inch dual field fits. I start by loosening the lock collar at the lower shaft, fold the coil back so that the top of the coil is touching the fiber rod. I then turn the rod and coil 90 degrees, so that the edge of the coil is vertical, rather than horizontal. Even with the DX-1 or XL-1 taking up the last hole on the "S" rod, the detector is short enough to fit in the bag. Though one of them does touch at each end.

[size=large]went to their site and saw they, whites , only advertised the padded gun style. says it fits all models cept tdi. so yours should fit. maybe tight but it should fit.

First, let me just say that I seldom use a detector bag. My detectors ride on the back seat of my vehicle, covered with a white, light-weight hospital blanket to keep them cool, protected from the sun, and kind of out-of-sight. They are ready for instant use because I don't like to disassemble my detectors unless I really need to.

Second, there are the longer "gun style" bags that are often about 51"-53" in length, and look kind of like a rifle case. Usually, to get a detector to fit in one of these bags, you loosen the rod lock, press the detent buttons and twist the rod about 90

Thanks for the replys. I always use a detector bag and prefer one that will take the detector as I use it full length. I have a Fisher CZ-3D and the bag is just rite. The E-trac I have is easy to ca lapse and fite into the bag. I think the older style 54'' Blue bag will work with out pushing in the rod. At least I hope so as I have one coming that is new old stock. If not I will have a seem stress I know lengthen it to fit. This is the longest one I could find made by Whites so if this one don't work I will use the blanket I have been using till it is modified. I us ally carry 2 detectors to a site so it just fits in my trunk better with the detectors in carry bags. It's like my Dad use to say ''a place for everything and everything in it's place''.
