i have a pro pointer by garrett, fat little thing ain't it! i use a eight inch flat tip screwdriver to recover my targets,so i don't make large holes in the park grounds.i find the skinnier nozzle easier to use in smaller holes leaving less disturbed ground.if i don't find the target in the first couple of inchs with the bullseye, then if no ones nearby watching,i might employ the pro pointer.it ain't the bees knees as far as i'm concerned.it has it's limitations weak light, noisey even with tape over the speaker, detuning kinda works.i have centered the pp over the target area, detuned it and theres no target there anymore. now it might work better if i used a garden trowel to dig bigger holes so you can fit the device in the ground.cutting plugs isn't my style and grounds men here don't like it either. i have found more with the whites than that other thing.blowfly
