Whites Blue Max 600 coil for XL PRO?

It seems like it's getting harder to find a Black Max or Bullseye 5.3 at a decent price anymore!
I know a guy who has a few "Brand New" Old Dealer stock Whites Blue Max 600 coils available with the small Hole
and longer cord available for $60.00 shipped! Anyone think this would be ok coil for the XL Pro as compared to the
Bullseye and BlackMax 6" Coils?

duggr,

I tried to reply to your pm, but for some reason, my computer is having trouble sending replys

The 600 coil is the same as the 5.3 and it works great. You can crank up the signal balance and it will get good depth. You will have to drill the holes out, so you can use your existing rod, but that only take two seconds.

The 600 coil is dead on, when it comes to target ID, I called White's and the tech said as long as the coil id's a nickel at 29 and a silver dollar at 92, it is with in calibration.

Hope this helps Doug, HH.

Ya, crank up that SIG BAL to full throttle & rock on! I am consistently diggin' mercury dimes that are at the limits of my Lesche. Pulled out a Walker a coupla weeks ago that was down a full 10-12" & on edge. And you can separate a dime from a bunch of junk quite easily. BUT, from time to time, a drink can top will come in as a dime.

Keep in mind that your meter is calibrated for a 9.5" coil, so with the smaller coil, expect some minor variances. My meter shows dimes, quarters & halves a little bit higher. You'll get used to it!

Cheers,
DR

Would you mind sharing the information on the person who has these for sale?

Thanks

High duggr,
I`m located in Germany and have a real hard time finding a 6"coil for sale over here.
Maybe you could ask your bud, if he`s willing to sell/ship one overseas.
You or he can contact me at : skookum@gmx.de

I think Dan Ware at Promack in Apache Junction, AZ has one or two of the 600/6.59 coils he would part with...
