White's Beach & Surf Detectors

Coin Shark

New member
Hi everyone. I'm thinking of purchasing a White's Beach Hunter Id or a White's Surfmaster Pro detector. This would be my first time going surf and water. Have a DFX but can't risk it being in salt water. Can anyone who has any of these machines tell me how well they work. I'm wondering how the stock coils that come with the detector work and if the coils can be moved through water easily. I appreciate any help. Thanks!:help:

i use a pi pro from whites, i love it, just plan on digging very deep. it picks up the smallest gold, plus the smallest wire too. at the beach you should dig every signal anyways so go for it.

I love my BHID it saves alot of iron digging and goes deep enough. I think you would be happier with the BHID over the PI if all you ever used was the DFX. Its got you spoiled with all that discrimination capability. won't even be close to familiar with the PI. You will need to bring the back hoe and the Ben Gay. because those PI's don't miss anything.

White's is very close to releasing a new PI unit that will hit as hard or harder than anything on the market right now. If they can fit the circuit board into a BHID waterproof case then they've got a winner for Surf Pirates.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Thanks for the replys. I have thought this over more and decided to purchase the new Minelab Excalibur II. Wish me luck on the beaches and water! Will keep you posted.
