Dose anybody have some ideas on how too Lower the Volume on this unit???????????

You can change a resistor to increase or lower volume on all machines but as its a sealed unit its best to take the low tech approach and just insert an off cut of foam rubber in the headphone cups of sufficient thickness to lower the output to the level you want.

Smart Idea .I was wondering the same thing I used mine for the first time yesterday .newbe I am . cant wait to go again may play hookey from work.hahahah Mike

So, does this mean the headphones/unit has no volume control? Really curious because I've never seen one and I'm thinking about a water machine for wading next spring. Thanks. BTW, how stable is it on wet salt?

I have one and and I like it , pretty stable as well , I have found just as much with BHID as I have with my excal ,but conditions are little off right now . Beaches are well sanded need to stripped off with some weather .. guzz1

I just cut some rubber foam to fit tight in the ear-cups and this worked great for a long time. I also thinned the gaskets until I had a very comfortable volume level for me. However, I've since installed my own Killer Bs on the BHID because they're my favorite headphones! I ran silicon beads and put rubber gaskets on the volume controls too. This is not waterproof but is very water resistant and I go out past hip level with this setup. I made the change because I use the Infinium PI in rough or deeper water or fully submerged. One thing to remember is if you're working in rough or deep water and diving with the BHID, the extra volume might be needed in that situation. I 've also spoken to a bunch of hunters that thought the volume was fine to them and use it as is. I would not install any headphones on a unit still under warranty as I'm sure it would void it (if you do this it's at your own risk)!!! I also spoke to White's quite a while back and they mentioned that a resister could be put in-line to lower the volume if really needed. Hope this helps!!! On another note, sorry for the crappy picture but It was too big to post so I reduced the size by removing some of the background (don't have the software to reduce the photo size). Well, just in case you want to view better ones, I'll get them up to the site soon. Thanks and HH!!!
