whites beach hunter 300 id

hi me uk diver detectorist sov excal user just got a whites beach hunter 300 id when ground balancing is there a pre set setting .does it make a big differance to performance if not set right .any tips on settings would be a great help thanks

I hunt with the Whites 300, and I just set and pump to the sand a few times and it is good to go if you don't get a lot of noise .
