:whites: Battery test, you know those cheap 94 cent pack of 4 AA's in Wal Mart?....

[size=large]Well, out of curiousity, I bought 2 packs of the cheap batteries that came with tax to about $2.00. It takes 8 AA's to power the Whites detectors. Anyway, I slipped in the cheap batteries and the battery check came up to 13.1, which is higher than any of the Copper Top or Rayovac brings it up. I then detected for 10 hours before it dropped down to 9.8, and I then switched out with a new set of batteries. So, for what its worth, the cheap batteries at Wal Mart for 94 cents will run your detector for a day and a half of detecting, at 1/3 the price of the name brand. However, the name brand batteries will last about twice as long as that.[/size]

Ethanol is 10cents a gal cheaper put you lose 15 to 20% of your fuel economy. Not to mention what it does to your fuel filter, and injectors. I try to buy gas at BP stations because they still sell whole gas, not an Ethanol blend.

I tried that with Target cheapo batteries in my Ace 250. It only took 4 to run the machine. It only lasted like 6 hours compared to Energizer's that lasted me about 18 hours. Good when you don't have money for batteries, but not recommended for normal use. I wound up going to Walmart and buying 4 rechargeable batteries and a charger for $20 back in March and I'm already saving money that would of gone to buying batteries.
