Whites 9" Eclipse Spider COIL

Does anyone know anything about the whites 9" eclipse spider coil? How well does it work on the V3i compared to the eclipse 950?

It is the same coil in a different case. I asked Carl if anyone had tested the coil on a V3i (hint) and he said there would be no difference. It is really a 950 coil not a 9" coil.

This is a newer item and I haven't had the chance to use one yet, but I suspect that it is lighter than the 950 but essentially the same in performance, both are concentric.

The most interesting thing about this coil is the statement that it is NOT wireless ready????????? Do we want to start another rumor?

Oh boy that kinda talk will get me to post quick. Is it true? Have Rob and Larry signed NDA's? (non disclosure agreements)

Do we have a completely new wireless detector with wireless pinpointer on the way!!!!!! Does this require a whole new thread?

After doing a little more investigating it says "Wireless ready" in the specs for just about every item I looked at. I think we are seeing a little glimpse of what is to come, the new website and the revamped pages tells me big changes are getting ready to take place.

I noticed that wireless statement too Burlbark, Yep let the rumors begin :)

As usual I know nothing about such a thing. I'm not privy to Whites secrets, I'm not that lucky or important. NDA would only apply to a product a person was lucky to get to test. Have fun with rumors if you need something to talk about for the winter.

MHO is it is just a page layout thing. I think you need to get your non wireless pinpointer first. Wireless could be in the future but I think it will be a while.
