Whites 6000D Series 2 Battery Info Please

I bought a Coinmaster 6000D Series 2 with the intent to covert it into a table lamp.
I plugged in two 9v battery's and it powered up and there was some shallow detection.
Before I turn it into a lamp I'd like to get the correct battery setup installed and see how it performs. Who knows maybe I'll keep it as is along with my original owner 73' Garrett Ghostowner as conversation pieces.
I've read the 'white' connector is a AA 8 cell 12v pack and the 'black' is a AA 6 cell 9v pack but I need to know the configuration so they will fit in the battery compartment.
I would very much appreciate a picture, description, or link of the 2 battery packs
Thank you & HH

This would be the 8 cell.

And this would be the 6 cell.

Detectors like the 5000 Di Series 2 had the same battery configuration.
Those detectors actually came with a 8 cell and a 6 cell NI-Cd battery packs (rechargebable) and the battery holders were for the back up batteries as I recall.
