Hi All,
I,m fairly new to the hobby and have a question. I was given a Whites 6000di pro that was working fine until my daughter droped it. Now on ocassion it will sound and not stip till youtap it on the side, then it works fine for awhile. My question is, is this unit worth sending back to Whites to have it repaired. I really like it, I found a 1/2 reale with it last November down on Big Pine Key in Florida. the coin was about5 inches deep. So, Im thinking its a pretty good machine to find something that small. Any,suggestions? Also could anyone sugfgest a replacment coil for more depth.

The 6000 is a good machine... it sound like that there is something very simple wrong with it... would it be possible for you to take the covers off and have a look see.... I took a 5900 apart a few weeks back, had something rattling around in it, and it was a screw holding the speaker in place... It might just give you and idea of what's wrong and you can fix it or at least let the tech know what's going on.. Just a thought, hope ya getting it fixed..Richardntn
