Need some feedback on a Rough looking 5900 --blue & grey model, whites detector.Suppose to be in working condition, but you know how that go's?Not much to look at waiting for more pictures. What would a scratched up model bring, what would you pay for this ?Need some feedback please.:help:cjm

That's a tough one, resale on the later 5900 series has dropped quite a bit this year.

A scratched up blue and gray maybe $130 to $165 shipped, better conditioned models can fetch a little more.

This is probably the best offering by White's in the 1990's. With the Signal Balance (Gain) goosed up past 3:00 on the dial and a slight positive Ground Balance, this allows a comfortable slower sweep speed along with greater depth perception. The 5900 CB equipped with a smaller coil like an 8" concentric coil or the smaller 6½" BullsEye, it does fairly well in concentrations of iron contamination...the later CB version 5900 Di Pro SL is a great detector if you can handle the heavier old school shoe box.
