White's 2900/D

I recently bought an old White's COIN MASTER 2900/D Trooper at the flea market and I'm trying to fix it for my 10 year old nephew. It has some undefinable problem and it won't turn on, I have taken it apart and checked all the connections and wires. If any one knows what type of problem it is or has similar experiences any help would be appreciated.[attachment 15431 003.jpg][attachment 15430 002.jpg][attachment 15429 005.jpg][attachment 15428 004.jpg]

What are the symptoms of the problem your having? Does it not come on, no sound, erratic operation, etc? There's a lot of talented people on this forum that could probably give some good suggestions. If nothing else you could send it back to White's. They really have treated me well on repair cost. Ron

Thank you for replying Ron. As far as i can tell their is some electrical problem. I put in a brand new battery but, when I turn it their is no sound from the speaker or the headphones (Tested separately of course) nor any sign of it powering up. That is all I can tell with my skills. How did you use their repair services? Could you post any contact information for White's(Website, Hot-line, stores) or will I have to write to Sweet Home Oregon? Thanks
Always perplexing

depending on where you're at white's has several authorized repair centers however they aren't cheap.i've sent several older units in for repairs and it's never been less than $70.00 for even a minor problem.

If you have a basic electrical knowledge, or a friend that knows a little, do a continuity test on the battery clip leads. "Sometimes" you get lucky and one of the wires breaks off at the clip on connector. I also have a 2900/D that is brand new "unused!" Kind of a neat detector. Ron
