"White Gold" Looking Thin Ring With Letter "L" Inside?

Anybody have any idea what the "L" stands for? Probably not white gold because it's a thin ring yet read in the pull tab range. I would think a white gold ring of this size would read well into the foil range. Read too low to be silver too, unless it's that nickel/silver mix that some jewlery is made with, but then again I'd figure it'd be stamped as such. Only thing I see is the letter "L" inside it, so I'm not sure what this ring is made of. I see some scratches on it but no different metal color under that, so I at least know it's not plated, whatever it is.

Critter, Only thing you can do is have the ring checked by a jewler. The ring in my avitar had a 6 or a 9 in it (depends on what way you turned it). I thought it was a fake. It is 18K gold.
