White eagle spectrum backlight

Hi:
I just replaced the coil on my spectrum with the blue max 950.I just noticed that the backlight does not work.

what is it a little light emitting diode?
Can I replace it myself.
I have the c battery holder and Two new nicads and charger and Koss headphones. Plus it has a brand new coil.
Thinking of selling it.

Forget it I will answert my own Post.
Wierd HUH!.
I called Virginia repair and they said iTHE BACKLIGHT was part oF the unit and would cost about $70.
I just wanted to fix it before I sold it.
Just in case someone else has one that does not work.
They also told me a new technology is coming out for white.
A pulse baby.
Expensive like around $1600 for the unit.
Coming out soon.
Forgot the name already Tric or something like that.
