White CoinMaster vs. Garrett AT Pro (Newbie)

hawkeye TN

New member
I have a White CoinMaster III that is at least 15 years old but does work.
I have an area of my property where I have found a lot of metal and a few civil war items that I suspect were items of a person who lived in a building at this site. I also found an 1864 penny.

My question is simple "Am I likely to find more if I invested in a new detector like a Garrett AT Pro"?

Thanks in advance,
Hawkeye

Yes you will be better off getting a newer unit to use. However, sometimes when you have worked an area pretty good with a unit for several years, the finds on your home place may be few and far between. But if there are good targets next to iron, the DD style coil will pick them out better than the coil on the whites machine you own.

By the way, what part of TN do you live? I am in Dickson.
