Which would you choose??????????????????

Hey everyone, I know there's no such thing as a "bad" Fisher, and being a C$ user this past year, I really love the way it works. I have not had the opportunity to use the ID Excel or the new ID Edge, but here's the "BIG" question, especially for those who have used both or all three - IF YOU COULD ONLY HAVE JUST ONE OF THE BIG THREE, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE???????????????

fence on that until I have a chance to get some hours on the Edge next spring. ;)

Tom

Appalachian State over UNI!:punch: Sorry Jim.....but you are the only persson in Iowa that I know! Good ball game last night. Could have gone either way.

if I knew I was going to keep the Coinstrike and not re-sell it then I would probably opt for the Coinstrike. But since the ID Edge is the new kid on the block and $200-250.00 cheaper depending on where you get it and money was an issue I would opt for the ID Edge, you also have to consider the weight issue as well. Now if money was even tighter, but I wanted one of the best detectors in its price range then I would opt for the ID Excel, for the money you get a lot of detector and both the Edge & Excel are lighter then the C$.

I have and use now a Coinstrike, would I sell or trade the Coinstrike to get an Edge you may ask, the answer would be NO!!!

Yepper - was a good game - tough way for UNI to lose on the quarterback fumble, if only his arm started to go forward just a little bit :ranting: Oh well, have to see how the Iowa Hawkeyes do against Florida in the Outback Bowl:super: Appalachian State really turned up their defense in the 2nd half. Hawkeye Jim.

Hey Tom - that's a fair answer, seeing how the Edge is so new and people haven't had much of a chance to really use it in the field - I have seen some reports that state the Edge is a deeper seeking machine than the C$ - hype or fact??? I love my C$, but have been thinking of buying a backup and leaning toward the Edge, but would like to see a little more feedback first. :fisher::fisher::fisher:

My CoinStrike is going to pay for itself with old coin finds this year (2006) :wiggle:

Jim,

The deciding factor for me will be ID ability on tough targets. The C$ gives more accurate ID's on coins in iron than the Excel (or most other machines for that matter). The Edge is claimed to be an improvement, if so it will be a winner in my book.

Tom

and I'd like to think neither am I. I'd pick the C$ over the Edge only because of the extra features which I use and appreciate. Ya gits whatcha pay for. I have two of the three now and had the other previously.

of course it was because I was wearin' a speedo at the time. Just kiddin'!

As a life-long Gator, I say shame on you re: the Iraq comment. As for Fl. State, I couldn't agree more. Free Shoes U (remember?) However, you guys got more bad calls in key spots that I've ever seen. That was no helmet to helmet in the first half and I sure didn't see any offsides on the kick. The way you guys were playing in the second half, it would have been interesting to see how you would have done in that last minute in Gator territory. Even most Gator fans have a bad taste in their mouth's over our win (?). You played too well for bad calls to cost you.

If the offsides penalty wouldn't of been called - sure would of been interesting!!!! Besides all the bad calls, the Hawks shot themselves in their own foot with the blocked punt and the interception for a touchdown. Real gutsy call by Urban on the fake punt though - not many coaches would call that play from where they were. Hawkeye Jim.
