Which water detector?

Trying to decide on either the Garrett Sea Hunter, Whites Surf PI or the Tesoro Sand Shark any of you that have used either of these I sure could use your input.

i have been hunting for a used sand shark for a while on fee bay and there is never any used ones for sell ..that tells me something and the lifetime warrenty is a ++

Have you considered the Detector Pro Head Hunter PI? I bought one late last year & have been very happy with the extreme depth, lightness, & sensitivity. All the controls are in the headphones. so you virtually don't have to worry about the seal leaking & wrecking your detector. You can literally hunt all day with it as it is extremely light, like a Tesoro. You also have the option of an 11'' or an 8' coil or both as they are not hardwired. Just a thought. Good luck!

I have a sand shark and works great in the water.....Prepare to dig big holes, it sure finds deep stuff....

I have the 10" coil and it swings well under water..coil is very thin, not much water resistance...

I hunt with the sea hunter, The only I have to say is bring your pass port with you it go very, very deep. One of the better thing about the sea hunter is that you can change your coils and headsets at will. You don't have to send it off to change them . Theirs about 5 coils to chose from and 2 headsets . Make shore you have a good scoop , I've dug Dimes at 18". My best find ever was with my sea hunter last March a 1000 year old Bible, it was about 30" s deep.So HH Ron Lord From the land of no Gold in FL.

Sea hunter: Good PI detector, heavy, but that discrimination knob is a joke. Forget it. PI detectors do not discriminate.

Sand Shark: Great PI detector, heavy, but easy to use and has an external volume control. That is a big plus. Hits pretty good on small gold.

White PI Pro: Better tuned to small gold, lightweight, ridiculous coil that is too big and floats like a cork, to adjust the volume you have to open the box, which is a major pain on the beach.

Detectorpro Pulse: Better tuned to small gold, very lightweight, 8" or 11" coil available, not waterproof enough to take diving but you can go wading; sucks those two 9 volt batteries dry after 8 hours.

If I were going to buy another detector, I 'd get the Detectorpro. My second choice would be the Tesoro.
