Which video camera do you use to film your finds?

I want to buy a video camera so I can film some of my hunts.
Any advice on what video camera and setup I should buy? tripod I assume is standard.
I'd rather spend the extra money to get a better quality video camera upfront.

Thanks

I have not purchased one but they seem to be versatile.

I use the Kodak Playsport ZX5 it is shock, water and dust proof and the size of a smart phone. It is perfect for treasure hunting conditions. Here is a link to Kodak http://store.kodak.com/store/ekconsus/en_US/pd/productID.221644700

Her is my latest video that was taken with my Playsport

Zx5 is what my hunting buddy uses, I use the gopro hero hd I love it; both shoot amazing video the go pro works best with a flat lens for the waterproof case esp when deeper then 10 feet. Still does good shallow water hunting with the stock waterproof case. ( quailty under water is improved with the flat lens) both are great options for what we do.

in the smaller type cameras. If you have ever viewed any of Dr.Bobs videos they were shot with said camera. Can still be found on the big auction site for a fair price....

Like Ray said, Kodak Zi6 if you want great macro and ease of use.

One other thing that sold me on the ZX5 is that it has auto macro if you watch my videos I try to set the coin on the plug and hold the camera close and steady and in a few seconds it focuses in on the coin. What I did not like about the Zi 6 was I had to switch to macro to get a close up. I also tried the original Playsport and it had no macro setting, so if you buy a Playsport and want macro make sure it is the ZX5

The Zx5 is all you need. Just put this one together today !

I have the ZX5 as well. They have really come down in price also, around 80 bucks.

I second the macro mention, the most important feature for filming the screen. Look at my youtube channel below. Most of my videos aren't in HD (which it does) due to upload speed but it still gives quality videos and is easy to clean after hunts due to the waterproof nature.

That last part is great with the CTX - some underwater videoing is in the future for someone I'm sure.

The downfall of the video is that it isn't great indoors. It does normally need a natural light source. And, even in 720 60fps, it isn't great for motion shots. (It also has an Ipad resolution, like 560 or so, and 720 30fps, and 1080 30fps) For detecting and odd filming it is great. But for an all around video camera it lags in certain areas. For the money it is an incredible deal, best video camera for detecting considering the price.

Prices have dropped. I believe Kodak will stop making cameras of this type. Zx5 is terrific.

I had a goPro for a while and sent it back. It a great camera but it will not record video and sound when it is in it's water proof housing. You have to use the skeleton housing and a plug in mic if you want to get video and sound at the same time. Using that housing the camera is exposed to the elements.

I use a Kodak Zx5 it does it all at a lower price and its waterproof under normal conditions. Here is part of a video I shot at DIV XXI.

I think I will put my 2 cent in KODAK ZX5

I just bought a replay 1080hd because I wanted something hands free and it clips to my visor. When I get time I am gonna post some finds with he CTX.

Don. I used the GE,DV-1 99.99 at QVC waterproof to 10 ft drop proof 6 ft about the size of a cell phone. only issue is mounting it,but it has a 1/4 20 camera mount very easy to operate. IMHO
