Which Tesoro?

I think the Cibola would be great. Very fast recovery, and the ability to change frequency if needed.

As mentioned the Cibola is a good choice. I'd also consider the Silver Sabre umax and/or the Conquistador. In fact those are the two my wife and I use in competition hunts and have been very pleased with them. These 2 detectors are very similar with the Conquistador having a frequency shift which is handy when one encounters crosstalk with other machines. The earlier Cutlass II umax, the Silver umax and similar would also fill the bill nicely. we see a good number of the Tesoro umax machines at the hunts we attend. Weight, quick recovery for fast and easy pinpointng and ease of use are way more important than TID or other bells and whistles in these hunts and all the Tesoro umax models fit the bill nicely.
