Which Tesoro to get.

So I finally decided that I definitely want a Tesoro to be my first machine. Now to pick the model. Was pretty sold on the Vaquero, but now the Outlaw has caught my eye. Any opinions would be appreciated.

The Outlaw with its 3 coil package would be awfully tempting if you didn't have any coils to begin with.

The 5.75 coil comes in real handy when detecting in trashy areas. The 8 inch doughnut coil is my favorite coil. I like it better than the 9 x 8 coil.

53Silver does a great job explaining its great features.

I like my Vaquero. I also have a whites machine and I do just as good with my Vag. My Vaquero tends to be my "go to" machine

Probably do coin and some relic. I live in the Charleston SC area. Just a nice all terrain type I guess.

All the Tesoro detectors are good, I have used about every Tesoro model except the Cortes & I found them all to work very well and fun to use. If I had the $$$ to get one I think that I would probably get the Tejon. I really liked that detector, I found the features it has to be everything I would put on a detector if I was to build one. I really like the dual discrimination settings, the adjustable tone, and the trigger switch pinpoint setup. Not only is it great on coins it is very good finding jewelry, I can remember like yesterday and will probably never forget that the last two targets I dug with the Tejon I had were rings. I have found many rings over the years but that was the only time I dug a ring back to back.

You will not fail @ any model you choose....If your gonna do a little relic hunting....The (V) is a great choice on relic's,coins & jewlery....whatever model you choose...........................STICK WITH IT......And don't look back......good luck

Get the new target id unit.......................should be out by 2019 LOL LOL LOL !!!!!!

Thanks for all the info on the Tesoros. I am in the market for another and will be making a descision soon I hope. My goto has been an Eldorado for a few years now and it owes me nothing. I will continue to read up on the best for general purpose and gold.
Cheers
Doc

If I had the dough, would probably be the Tejon with the Golden a close second. By setting the two disc modes at key points, you can have all that depth PLUS the ability to duplicate a notch machine pretty closely. For once Ski and I agree~:surprised:
