Which Tesoro should I buy

After looking at all the reviews and research I have decided to buy a Tesoro.I coin hunted with a coin master several years ago, and have narrowed my choice between the Deleon and Vaquero.
I will mainly use if for coin and jewelry hunting and would appreciate any advice from anyone .The Deleon has a display which I like and the Vaquero seems to have more of a discriminating modes which helps with some metal and pull tabs.

Both of the machines are awesome, i have a Cibola (basically a Vaquero without GB) and a Deleon. For coins and jewelry I'd go with the Deleon. All Tesoros are known for the discrimination abilities. The Deleon will not only disc well, but also show you on the TID (without sounding off on what has been discriminated out) what you are passing over. In other words if you disc out tabs you won't get a sound, but it will show up on the screen. The Deleon is a killer on coins, hope this little bit of info helps.

I'd snag the Deleon as a general purpose, TID detector. Then later on, get a Vaquero for raw power, beep and dig detecting out in the fields and bushes.

I own several high end machines but have the most fun with the Golden uMax.
Lite, fast and tone descrim.

Either one will find coins and jewelry, if your inclined to also do some relic hunting, or looking for deep coins, I would suggest the Vaq. If you like TID machines grab the Deleon.

I agree. The Golden is a super nice detector that's really fun to use. I've owned a bunch of Tesoros over the last 20 years, and although it took a few hunts to adjust to the tones the Golden is by far my all time favorite Tesoro. The "hot" Tesoros - Tejon, Vaquero and Cibola - are deeper here, but in 39 years of detecting I've found very few coins with other detectors the Golden wouldn't have got. A small Civil War site several miles north of here was hammered for years with everything but the kitchen sink, as have been most CW sites around here, and guaranteed to be hunted out after Tejon and Nautilus DMC IIb users stopped finding stuff there, but I was up that way for a reason not related to detecting and hunted for a couple of hours with the Golden/7 inch Shadow X2 coil combo and found several .58 minies and a couple of round balls in the 7 to 9 inch range (that doesn't necessarily mean the Golden is better for relic hunting, it just means it wasn't hunted out:)). I don't use the Golden as much as I should, but when hunting only coins with it I've dug less trash than with any detector I've used, including many with ID meters, except possibly the A.&.S Baron or Sovereign with DTI meter.

Thanks to everyone for the info which really helped out alot. I decided to get the golden max because i am old school and like to hear the tone when detecting.
