Hi folks,

I'm an E-Trac virgin and most of what I know, I got it from you. Thanks to this forum (I read a lot the last 2 months) I learned a lot.
However I have been on the field for no more than 20 hours and I'm still very confused and unsure with my machine.

After all the positive (didn't saw any negative) comments regarding the SEF coils, I'm thinking to get myself one. My question is what would you advise me getting - they already come in 5 sizes 8x6", 10x12", 15x12", 18x15" and 21x17".

Some more information, that might be helpful helping me:
1) I'm not from USA and what I could found will be very different from your finds, also should consider different soil, depth etc.
2) I just started using TTF
3) I'm quite sure I never "tracked" anything more than 9'' deep which I think is not good
4) I'm bad at pinpointing the target
5) I can send you all my current settings if you need

I think that sums it up LoL :)

Thanks for everyone responding!

Regards,
Alex

Trashy parks, 8 x 6. very good separation & depth!

Working in medium trash, the 6 X 8.---For more depth the 10 X 12-.--Both excellent coils in their own right.----The other SEF's are too big (and heavy) IMO.

The smaller 6x8 is perfect to use with TTF, excellent depth, superb in heavy iron, pinpoints like a laser.....in fact I never use the pinpoint feature on the etrac I just use the wiggle method to find my targets which is MORE accurate and way quicker

Hi guys,

Sorry to pop this up, but wanted to say Thank you.
I'll definitely get the small SEF, only will wait for the new season - it's already very cold here.

I hope I'll share my finds after that :yikes:

if you are from the east i would go with a larger coil with the history you have over there i would want to dig all signals dennis
