Which P&S camera do you all like. I'm leaning towards the Canon A620

I'm using the Canon A95 (which was replaced by the A610 ... so the A620 would be a good choice imho) and have found it to be a very good P&S. Had some difficulty finding a P&S with the right features ... especially full manual control which was important to me. I've been very pleased with it so far and find such features as the swivel LCD, good macro performance, etc really useful.

Of course, you have to keep the typical limitations of a P&S in mind (ie poorer low light and action photography performance than DSLR, no flash shoe, etc). Also if specific features like longer zoom are important you might have to go to the S3 (or other manufacturer's equivalent) or one of the higher class P&S's such as the Canon Pro1.

Your specific requirements may dictate which way you go.

Good luck with your selection.

The DMC-FZ30 and FZ20 are pretty tough. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=details&kw=PADMCFZ30K&is=REG&Q=&O=productlist&sku=396437

But for me, the Sony DSC-F828 kicks all azz! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000C8817/ref=nosim/103-6430948-0947026?n=502394

I've always loved the 12x stabilized zoom on the FZ's. I'm looking at the new FZ7 which is about $150 less than the FZ30.
