Whites 1400 Eclipse DD or 14" Excelerator search coil on the MXT. Curious to see if anyone has compared the two. Thanks in advance.

The 14" Excelerator is a fine coil. But I'd recommend it for a DFX user before a MXT user. It tends to require a bit more fine tuning than the MXT can offer. I'm selling my 14" Excelerator (since I own a MXT and not a DFX) and I'll probably use that money to upgrade something else. I highly recommend the 8" Excelerator coil though. I was digging coins up at 8" with no problems this weekend, including a 1898 IH at about 7". But if I were you, I'd get the 1400 from White's.
