Have a choice of an AT Pro or an AT Gold already know that the gold want work in Salt water which I dont hunt in anyway other than the standard and pro modes dont see much difference so which would you choose if facing same deliema

I have both detectors and I choose the gold over the pro it just seems that I find more with it!

I grab my Gold the most - just a personal preference - I seem to do better with it at sorting out the treasures from amongst the liberal amounts of trash where I hunt, & the 5x8 coil is great in my uneven, rocky/brushy terrain.

I have the Pro and really like it but will probably buy a Gold later this year just from everything I've read and seen on youtube.

Hell 3 gold rings and a gold braclet plus a boat load of clad in 4 months ownership with the At pro plus i can hunt the beach. I wouldnt trade mine for any detector period.

I have to agree with the others. I have owned both and my choice would also be the gold....

I only have the pro ( the 5x8,& 8.5x11 coil___ that 5x8 is something very special). Depends if there's native gold in ur area. If not the pro for coins, relics, The gold for relics,gold & coins. The pro has a more adjustable disc,and the gold has a threshold for a bit more depth and nugget whispers plus a ground balance window thats adjustable(in width) for more extreme ground. would think which would suit u best would depend on where u hunt and ur what ur searching for. Absolute best would be both (Coils are interchangeable between them). pro comes with 8.5x11& gold with the 5x8 For me the pro replaced 2 machines, a water machine and a land machine, the iron audio and the adjustable iron disc + dynamic audio in the pro mode was a must have.
