I just hunt mostly coins but some times gold
best 4 pinpoint.depth, what it is good bad stuff

I just purchased the 705 regular and it's definitely a great machine but i should have gotten the 705 Gold.... I live in Arizona and the gold comes with the 5x10 DD 18.75kHz coil and with the highly mineralized soil here that coil is better..... Then for a second coil i would have gotten the 10" DD 7.5 kHz Round coil when i was ready to replace the 9" concentric 7.5 kHz that comes with the standard 705 ...... If your going to be in regular soil around the country then the 9" consentric is a great coil.

Either the 5x10 coil or the 6in DD coil would be your best choice for gold hunting. Having the high frequency and not seeing too much soil matrix is the reason I'd suggest these coils. they are great coin hunting coils as well.

Most of the gold that is left in the U.S. anymore is of the very small variety. As a result the 6" DD HF coil will hit better on tiny gold (pickers) than the 5x10" DD HF coil will, plus it is also better on coins in high trash areas. While the 5x10" DD HF coil will hit better on larger deeper gold (nuggets) and will also go somewhat deeper on coins than the 6" DD HF coil will. Both are excellent coils in their own right.

thanks all of you
