Just wondering how the f-5 fisher would match up to the de leon by tesoro?Does anyone have any feedback, would appreciate it please.

Between the two they have tried all (and Ty Brook who writes for WET @, kenoty@att.net )

You want the F5. Much more 'adaptable' to changing site conditions and personal preferences and just an all round better unit than the DeLeon.

The F5 is durable with a long battery life, I can run mine for 40 plus hours on one set of batteries. I've been able to get silver dimes down to the 8" range and bigger silver down to the 9" range. You won't find to many used F5 in the classified, there's a reason. It has modulate audio which I just love, you can tell when a coin is deep by just the sound of it.

I have owned both and prefer the F5. I had problems with the Deleon other than stock coils being out of tune. The manual ground balance and separate gain-threshold will quiet the detector in most all locations. The F5 is one of my all time favorites.

I've had both. Both were great machines. I would give the edge to the F5 as it has many more features for the price. As good as Tesoro TID machines are, they are overpriced for what you get, IMHO.

Likewise I've had both and I would lean towards the F5. I had a lot of success over about 3 years that I owned one. Faster and better at unmasking than the Deleon. The F5 is more susceptible to EMI when not moving, but most goes away when the coil moves across the ground
