Which one? Makro Racer, F75, Teknetics T2

Please give me your opinions on which one you think is the absolute deepest detector. But first consider its not going to be used on the beach, nor in the goldfields where ground is bad. Only around Oklahoma where ground is not to bad. Which detector in your opinion will get down to the deepest coin or cache? Mostly say a cache, Thanks

I would say this question would be best asked on the Metal Detecting Forum. http://www.findmall.com/list.php?18 I never used a T2 but I was told by a few people that the T2 and F75 are close in depth with the same size coil. GS

I have hunted Oklahoma and Texas years ago and envied your mellow soil compared with what I deal with in the western states I mostly hunt in.

I have used Fisher F75's and owned only one LTD version. Parted with it as I liked the T2 better.

I owned four T2's in the past and currently have a brand new T2 'Classic' in-the-box I am going to sell or trade so I can buy some accessory Makro and Nokta parts I want and need. The T2 is a good detector and if the Racer 'series' and FORS 'series' models were not around I would keep a T2 Classic or Omega 8000 in my arsenal.

Here you are comparing the Makro Racer with two models looking for that ugly demon ... 'depth.' Personally, I have preferred my Nokta FORS CoRe for deep-seeking needs over a T2 with their standard coils. The FORS CoRe is 7X11 and the T2 is a little larger but close. Both are similar DD coils, but the build quality of the Nokta 7X11 is more rugged. The new Racer 2 will be supplied with a similar-looking solid 7X11 DD coil as the FORS 'series' and I would expect it to perform quite well.

Also, since you mentioned 'Cache Hunting' applications, depending upon the suspected Cache location and terrain, if you need a larger-size coil the Racer 2 accessory 13X15 DD coil might be a consideration. I have used a similar-size DD on the FORS CoRe for some contracted Cache Hunting and it works well.

I had a t2 in the past, still have the racer. I love the blended audio on the racer.

I am not trying to start anything over which detector someone thinks is better than another one. Just want your honest opinion. Who cares if someone likes another brand over the one you like. All I am looking for is what people honestly think about a detector. Don't worry about what someone else thinks, OK. I am not. I had a Whites MXT for years. Thought it was great on depth until I personally tested it side by side in a test garden against a cz5. It just wasn't. In my test garden anyway. Someone may have just the opposite results, and I am fine with that. Not going to say he is not telling the truth. Because in his soil he may be right.
Thanks guys, really

You can get a detector that is just for that type of hunting a few companies make them...I have had all three of the detectors you listed for the price I would try the new racer2 with a big coil or a dues but there are so many more than that...I'm sure you will get a nice response from this forum.

You are going to want to try all metal with what ever you get

Get a nexus detector.......they blow all the detectors you have mentioned away on depth.......expensive though for the deepest models.
