Hi Blowfly
I have been hanging out for a Whites PI Tdi for along time now they are about to land very soon around $2200.00,don't quote me .IT IS IN STRONG DEMAND SINCE IT'S AUSTRALIAN UP GRADE .If you want a cheap good all rounder around $350.00 The Bounty Hunter 1V Tracker is a good choice.
You are referring to a PI WHICH THE INFINIUM IS AND A VLF WHICH IS THE LOBO.If you just want Gold and depending on your ground if you can use aVlf look at a Whites Gmt.
I am sorry I can not give you an answer on your comparison as I have not used either. Having said that they both have good reviews. As a PI and a VLF on there own forums.I could afford a Gpx 4500 but My choice is the Tdi it does not have noise problems from electrical interference and as it is great and very deep on the Beach, great for Coins and Relics,it is also adaptable to many coils and of different makes I will get the Jimmy sierra coils when available
Check out the TDI forum and you will be amazed what you will learn from Reg and the Guys.

If you can afford an Infinium or a lobo super traq than you can afford a second hand minelab pi. Any GP series will do, SD's are good as well. SD's have one advantage over the Infinium: COILS! You can be super sensitive or go deeper than even the GPX's! I have used all these models mentioned.

The Infinium IMO would be better if it had the coil options and the ground balance knob was more user friendly.

I should be swinging a TDI by the 7th. Am going to run it with a Coiltek 14 x 9 to start with. They'll be here by mid next week Wally.

Thanks for that B.T I'll be there the day they are in and ready for pick up and to get a coiltek and nugget finder coil.
