Which model?

[color=#000066I would like to find out which model is the best one to choose. I'm not diving down in the water , mostly chest or waist deep where I'm going and mostly fresh water. I was just wondering which model to get. I was first looking at the White detectors but someone told me to checkout Mine Lab, but not knowing anything about Mine Lab I need some help from you guys who are more professional at this machine than I am. Could I get some help out there from anyone, please? Thank You.... Cliff

Chest deep water detecting, I should tell you to get anther brand so I can get what you miss, HA HA< I would spend the money and buy a Minelab Excalibur for salt water. I don't have much experience in the fresh water but others will comment too. I have used it in fresh and found quite a bit. I like it, easy to use but need to take a bit of time to figure out it's quirks, it is a bit different. I love it, have not had any problems, no broken knobs etc... I did buy a straight shaft and replaced the stock head phones. It has been good for me. I have found tons and listened to what others have to say. I use it on land as well, I consider it an amphibious machine.

Cliff you left out a couple of important points.

What area are you in? What type of fresh water hunting? Lakes, ? rivers ? ponds?

If fresh water lakes low to mild mineralization ... HeadHunter Wader CZ21 .
If salt water The Excal

Just my opinion. I have thw Wader and love itt in fesh water but have been told it does not do will in salt so I got a Excal for that.

I can only purchase one right now, so I'd like to get one that I can use for both.. Do I stick with the Ecall. on this choice for both? Cliff

I've never been in the water with a detector before, just thought it would be a good way to go for once. I'll mostly be in fresh water, but from time to time I'll use it in salt water. Cliff

Definetly the Excalibur. Got mine 10 years ago and still going strong.
I use it both fresh and salt and the only problem is the batteries wear out because of the use I have given it.
Great allrounder machine.
Cheers and happy hunting.:ausflag::detecting:

Rebuild those pods with Nimh's, more hours hunting between charges!! Takes about 10 minutes to replace the batteries, piece of cake!! Got some off of e-bay or you can order them direct from the maker.
