Which mode ?

Which is the deepest seeking mode to use i.e. C&J or Relic?
It would be interesting to hear which mode works best for you and what Trigger position was used.

Regards.

I use relic center with the disc set at 3 o'clock, so all coins except nickels ID with a high tone & most trash IDs with a low tone. It is easy to detect coins next to trash like this, as nothing is truly rejected, just assigned another tone. Also, the 2 tones are much different in pitch, so no doubt about which it is.

In the coin & jewelry mode, at least when I had the sensitivity turned up into the + range (like I use with relic), there didn't seem to be much difference between the sound of accepted & "rejected" targets. HH, George (MN)

My favorite for coin hunting is as follows: CJmode-trigger back (no notch) sens at 10 to +1 depending on the ground and slight threshold sound. CJ mode is noisier than relic but it will get you slightly better depth. Good Luck

Yes and its even better the not so wide DD coils. Got me a sterling earing the other day next to the curb and in between tabs. Read 38 thats when I dug. Pretty little thing with stones set in it.
