I have been using a BH Discovery 1100 for a couple of months now. But it only has preset disc levels. no iron, no mid range, no high range or no iron or mid range. I am wanting to move up to a better model. I am thinking about the QD2. Any other models I should be looking at? I am thinking the price to value ratio is best with the QDII but I may be wrong. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

BTW my best find to date was a 30 year old pop bottle that I sold for $14 on ebay. It was in an area where I was getting signals everywhere. I had visions of scattered coins until I dug into a trash dump full of bottles and cans and stuff. The bottle was in there. I will put up a picture if I can figure out how.

Good job on the bottle...You may want to dig a little more...I am sure there are others about...As far as the detector goes, I would step up to a Quick Draw II, Sharp Shooter II, Pioneer 202, Pioneer 505, or a Land Star...All of these machines have what your looking for, and a little more on some.

hello jdstawker, a qd2 or 505 would be a good step up for you. they can both be had for good prices that wont break your bank account. my qd2 payed for itself within 2 weeks, and continues to produce consistently. no ground balancing to deal with, [a big plus] and accurate depth/identity. its a coin killin, relic sniffin dawg for 200 bucks. good luck on your hunt for a better machine, and let us know how it goes. hh,
