Which machine for Relic Hunting?

David

New member
A high frequency GMT machine is not necessary for relics and probably makes the situation much worse. Only to be used for micro small gold and meteorites. There are very few if none, micro small relics. A lower frequency machine IS much better for your valuable iron, brass, and lead mini ball relics, will go deeper, and a fast sweeping machine.

As was said before: "The MXT is a two filter detector and is designed to hunt slow, comparitively speaking. If you want a fast White's go with the XLPro (four filter) or set up an XLT or DFX accordingly."

Are the DFX and M6 slower two filter detectors?? Are they designed to hunt slow like the MXT?? Or are they fast like the four filter XLPro??

Why?? Because, so they can run the big huge coils as listed below for relic hunting and cover alot of territory quicker in large fields!! If a person is a Relic Hunter or (homestead hunter) there are very large fields to cover and a slow sweeping(and small coil) unit would take 2 or 3 times longer to cover ground and time is valuable.
