Which larger coil for the 1350?

Bill_S

Well-known member
I see there are several larger coils available for the 1350. Mainly use for coins and jewelry hunting in places like parks and schools. Thanks.

10 x 14 Garrett DD coil.
Good for in land and helps out a lot on ocean beaches.

Minelab Xterra 305
Stock coil

Garrett Ace 250
Stock coil
Sniper coil
Excelerator 10 x 14 DD coil
Sold off the 9 x 12 coil

For parks and schools, you won't need the DD if the ground is relatively free of mineralization. If on the other hand you have a lot of mineralization, get the DD. The new DD performance coil has some new technology built into it,,,, and has some good reviews on the Ace 350. Just something else to consider.....

Thanks for the input. Most spots don't have bad mineralization but a few of them do, especially the older sites. Will the standard coils hit on bottle caps like the DD's do?
