which is better

I have the chance to buy a idx pro or classic sl for the same price both with mr bills mods for a great price. I was wondering which is the better of the two I have not used either and want to know everyones thoughts.

For the same price, if in the same condition, go with the IDX Pro. Better resale value.

For the same price the IDX Pro gives you the screen. I'm not sure which one you mean by classic SL. The pro has all the bells and whistles.

Again, I don't know which one you mean by Classic SL. If it is the Classic111 it would have the same depth and features as the IDX Pro without the screen. With Bills mods the the IDX Pro would be my choice. Why pay the same for anyone but the top of the series.

ONE SAYS CLASIC SL IN RED ON THE SIDE W/ID SCREEN W/ BLU MAX COIL THE OTHER ON THE SIDE IDX PRO W/ A BLACK MAX COIL

G papa,

Tom and Rob have given you the best advice, get the IDX Pro. It has the Black Sand/ Norm switch that lets you hunt with all-metal accept motion discrimination, very helpfull in mineralized soil conditions. It also has Frequency adjustment which is helpfull in some circumstances. If it has the Mr. Bill's mods, that is just icing on the cake, IDX Pro all the way, then "IF" you want to sell at a later date, the IDX Pro would sell at a better price point.

A picture is worth a thousand words. If it doesn't have the black sand switch but has a screen it is a Classic ID.

next time I will try and get a picture for you I just had no way of getting one at the time. trying to build up my arsenal I have given my V3I 9 months and said I would give my self a year only using it but I am comfortable enough with it to start using others. I know I still have a lot of learning to go. I caved a few times and found my self putting up the other machine and going for my V3I, I even found the VX3 a little to basic(great machine though).
