Which is better , the Quattro or Safari?

looks (color) of the Safari, and I haven't used a Quattro enough to compare them. I like the Safari for it's overall performance and simplicity. They can work rather quiet, if you're referring to noisiness due to outside interference. If you =re hunting a very trashy site, that's another thing. Use of a smaller coil in he junky areas will help.

Hey There Fellow Seeker, This will answer any questions you may have on the 'Awesome Minelab Safari' and then some. I too own the Safari, having graduated from a Minelab X-Terra 70 and, while the learning curve may be longer than other contemporary metal detectors, it's definitely worth the effort and the investment.

Minelab Safari Introduction by Andy Sabisch

I have never owned Quattro - but i do believe the Safari is superior. Not sure about depth, but the recovery time and separation are superior on the Safari. It is a newer machine with upgraded electronics. I also have an etrac. I like them both very much. Safari is very simple, and very high performance.

ROd P,
I have the Safari and a Quattro and they are both great machines. The
processor on the Safari is a little faster than the one on the Quattro
but the Quattro will find stuff as deep as the Safari but you have to
work it a little slower. Gary
