thinking of getting a pointer what sort should i get need suggestions thanks...heard the pro pointer is having a few problems

Get the Garret, you wont regret it. Best pinpointer on the market. Read the reviews on this forum.

You should definately consider the Garrett. I have one and have been impressed with the ease of operation. I would not have found my eight real cobs without it. :clapping: I have two other pin pointers, both of which cost more than the Garrett, and both have adjustable controls. They both go deeper, but not as easy to use as the Garrett. Read the reviews of all the available pinpointers on the forums and in the magazines. I am sure that if you decide to go with the Garrett, you won't be disappointed.

Pro-Pointer for sure. I would NOT hunt without one. I recently abused mine and was able to get it back in action pretty simply. You will not regret getting one!

My propointer is rock solid and built like a tank - your post is the first message I've seen about anyone having troubles with one. Garrett customer service is top notch and really fast so even if they did have issues I wouldn't worry about it but they've sold thousands of them now and this forum would be filled with posts about people having problems with them if there was any widespread issues.
