Which Garrett to buy?

Hi all, I'm considering getting a Garrett machine strictly for relic hunting. I own a number of other brands (Nautilus, Tesoro), but I thought I'd like to give Garrett a try. Looking for suggestions on which would be the best Garrett relic machine to buy. Thanks for your help.

Get the GTI 2500. It has the true all metal mode, manual ground balancing plus all the other bells and whistles that the GTI 1500 has. The large coil you can get as an accessory also sizes for you.

This machine will get you the best over all depth, and yet be sensitive to small objects.

Hey Shenandoah digger,
Are you from "The Shenandoah Valley of VA" or that other Shenandoah in CA.?

John E.-thanks for the advice on the 2500. John D.-I'm from the Shenandoah Valley of Va., specifically Grove Hill, between Shenandoah and Stanley.

I'll go with John. The 2500 would be your best bet as it is the top dog of the Garrett line and the most versatile. With the big coil or the DD it's hard to beat for depth and performance.

Anybody use the Master Hunter CX for relic hunting? The specs look pretty good.

Yeah what little I've heard about the CX looks pretty impressive, but I've never actually seen one. Looks like it might be a pretty good relic machine.

Well, I guess folks don't use them much, or they're not much for relics. Maybe I should go with the 2500. Thanks anyway.

I'm thinking along the same lines; a Garrett for Relic hunting.

What about the GTP-1350?? Going to a seeded hunt this weekend, put on by a Garrett dealer & will have a chance to test drive one.

Any opinions??

I own a ACE 250 and a GTP 1350 and I don't know which one I like best,
however I must admit I use the 1350 the most.

Hi Digger: I will not say which det. to buy, but I do Use a CX+ for
relic hunting. When purchased sometime back, I put a 5.5" high energy hot head on it and it has served me very well when hunting in under brush, using AM or low disc. It also does very well hunting coins in trashy areas. Just my take on the CX+....HH Paul
