i was wondering which detectors have a backlit display,,,i do a lot of hunting in the eve here at the beach and a backlit display would be nice,,

I don't think that any of the Bounty Hunters have a back light. I might be wrong but never heard of one on any.

Whoh. You could also paint a target on the back of your old hunting jacket, and hook a 100 watt lightbulb to it. :clapping: He He He!

LED headlamp is useful when the light is failing.

Apart from those mentioned there's the Laser Hawkeye, Minelab E-Trac, some of the German/Bulgarian/Polish hoard hunters. Some OKI machines. Lots of Whites, SL 90, Eagle, Silver Eagle, Spectrum, XLT, DFX. Newforce (c-Scope) R1 and Fisher digital CZ models.

Or you could just buy something like the JR Products clip on unit that casts a soft light over the meter display.

the new Minelab Xterra 705

A lighted display is a FANTASTIC option to have on your machine - I'll never be without this feature again !

NIGHT HUNTING IS A BLAST !!!

A few detectors I know of with lighted displays ...

Minelab - E-Trac
White's -- V3
White's -- XLT

Happy Holidays ! --- Mark

just for me, but my excalibur2 doesnt require any back lights, if you learn the tones youll do allot better when hunting on the beach..i understand a meter does help some but if you know what are good or so so targets your gonna gig them anyhow..at least id think you would.just my opinion:detecting:

In addition to all mentioned, the Whites Prizm 6T.

In my current collection of detectors the CZ-70 and the Coinstrike, both from Fisher, have backlights. Both have been mentioned as good beach machines and used Coinstrikes are an incredible bargain right now.Do a search for old posts on beach hunting with it.In addition my Compass Coin Pro II has a back light. It is a red one at that which is a color of light that does not disturb night vision very much.
