I have had every Tesoro except the screened ones and the Compadre. I think my favorite for general coinshooting is the Silver uMax (if your soil is not very mineralized). You can never go wrong with the Outlaw or Vaquero if you need an adjustable ground balance machine.
Most important thing i can tell you is do your research. This forum has plenty of info on it and it pays to read the posts on here from real users. There are various factors to consider when shopping for a detector. Some include ground condition in your area. Is your soil good or bad. I use 2 machines with manual ground balance, because my soil has mineralization and I can change coils without having to send the detector in to have the machine tuned to new coils I want to use with it. How often and and for how many hours will you use it? I have a limited time right now, so I have tried to keep detector purchases within a reasonable amount for the time allowed to detect. I currently use a compadre with the 5 3/4 inch coil and on my Eldorado Umax and Bandido II Umax I use a 7" widescan or 7" concentric to separate through trash better. It is best to research what detector will work best for you by evaluating how often you are going to use it and what areas you plan to detect. You will get all kinds of answers of which machine to buy, but the more popular answers will probably be Compadre, vaquero and silver Umax. No matter what you buy with a Tesoro you can't go wrong. HH and good luck.
