I know there are references for this but I would like to hear from the pros. I just got a MXT 300 with the 12" and also have the 6X10DD I got lucky and the spring bonus bucks hit at the right time. So I can afford yet another coil for spring. I live and hunt in Kentucky I'm not really sure what the soil here is considered to be as far as mineralization goes. I am thinking I would like to add either the 5.3 eclipse or the 4X6 shooter. The 4X6 states that it is for extreme trash and the 5.3 for high trash so is more better? I'm not sure the places I have picked out so far the 12" could handle due to the trash so it may not see alot of action. I will be hunting several old schools, parks, old home sites. I will not be doing any prospecting. For coin/jewelery and relic in trash. Which of the two coils are better suited for this type of hunting? Will one offer any depth advantage over the other? Sorry if I am rambling but like most newbies Ive got a thousand questions and unfortunately the weather isn't allowing me much practice time. Come on time change and spring!!

Thanks for any help in advance

i would get other opinions for your area .I think this coil is on sale at kellyco for 99.00 dollars ask for j.w..Hope this helps,I have the 4x6 mini by whites but like the 6" ex better.

Ether one of theses coils would be good they are great coils, but like Fred said I would ask the detectors in your area which one is better for your ground conditions......

I live in western KY and the 6" and 8" Excelerator Do very will. If the site is not trashy I use the 10X12 Excelerator.
