Which Coil to USE

I have an array of coils for my DFX since I can get them at dealers cost and Whites is really good about having a pretty good line of coils for their machine. I feel I have the bases covered with that so use the small and stock coil on my Explorer. Anyhow, most often it seem to be that user figure the small coil is for trash and easy pinpointing and the stock coil for better ground coverage then depth between the two is an iffy question. What follows are observations that may help a new user decide between the small and stock coil. I will leave brands and larger or other coil designs up to the folks that have used them on the Explorer to share their
