Which coil to use in parks/trashy

In a trashy park near play ground equipment areas which coil would be best.

6" DD
Or
6" concentric.

I've read where the concentric is on the hot side.

For me trashy areas mean DD coil all the way. I guess it all depends on what somebody might consider trashy.

I like the 6 inch dd and the digger coil. Coins = digger. Jewelry no coins = 6 inch dd 18.75.

Thanks , guess I'll be looking to but a new 6" DD coil in the future, probably next spring. . Right now I have the concentric and it seams to be a little hot without even turning the sensivity up.

I like both 6" coils. While IMO the HF DD has better separation the 6" concentric can be quieter in iron filled sites and sometimes that's what suits my mood.

Also the 6" HF DD is going to light up every little bit of foil in those trashy parks. The concentric is plenty sensitive for small jewelry items.

Jackpine thanks for your input . On your 6" DD is it the high frequency 18.75 or the 3 kHz
. I think I'll start saving up for a 6" DD. I think the 6" 7.5 is a little on the hot side because of the signal (bowl) pattern and I would like more separation like the DD has.

Thank you;

It's the 18.75 Khz coil. The 3 Khz 6" coil should'a been a concentric IMO.

The transmit pattern difference between a DD and a concentric is at shallow depths only. Once past a few inches the ground minerals scatter/spread the signal out, that's just the way it works.
