Which coil for Xterra 705?

I'm really considering buying a Minelab 705 or Gold Bug Pro but leaning twards the 705.

My question is for searching the local fresh water river beaches what would be the best coil for finding gold jewelry?
I know there is at least one ring on a beach that was lost many years back but hard telling if it is still there.

I wish they would sell these detectors with choice of any coil. :) There are so many coils made for this detector between Minelab and Coiltek coils its hard to know which would be best.
You guys having already tried many would probably know best.

Thanks

For gold jewelry hunting in fresh water, one of the 18kHz freq coils, as long as it's WATERPROOF.

The 9 inch concentric or 6 inch DD 18kHz Minelab coils would be my first choice. Seems the bigger Minelab DD coils are only water resistant per some documentation I have read.

The new 15 inch Coiltek coils are waterproof, but not sure if you want to use that big of a coil in the water.

Some dealers will let you exchange the stock coil for another of the factory minelab coils, if this helps. The gold pack is the most expensive coil anyway, so the dealer really isn't losing anything to give you choice of the others. You probably won't convince them to swap you a coiltek though, without some added cash.

Thanks for the answer guys...
I found a website that sells the gold pak with an additional coil 15" Coiltek WOT for $729. The Coiltek coil pictured in their ad looks like the original Coiltek coil without the support spars from the middle to outside of coil ring. Is that 1st version Coiltek coil as good as the newer with the support spars?

EOS (Mike the Swede) likes his! And FWIW, the new MF coils have the supports. Unless they said that yours won't have them.....it might.

Yes EOS like the WOT 1st version! Great coil for big fields.Had some really good finds with that coil.Prefer it without the supports. They just collect more dirt. Runs smooth over wet grass and have good balance as well,me think..Very good construction

If you look around, you can get the 705 with two coils, the 10x5 and one of the 7.5Khz coils ..... NEW in the box.
