Which coil for the beach?

Headed to NC next month and I'll be bringing my Xterra 705. I've never used it at the beach and was wondering which coil/ coils work best? Ill most likely just be hunting the dry sand as i dont have a sand scoop. Would love to hear from someone who's had success on the beach. Tips, tricks, advice? Thanks!

Hi,
I live in NC but not near the beach and my go there this summer. Just a warning, if you go to Hatteras or Nags Head, the federal beaches are off limits for metal detecting. I also only hunt dry sand when I go to beaches in other areas.

Thanks for the reply. I've definitely read up on the laws and ill be where it's legal to detect.

Ive been reading a lot of older posts regarding this subject so i think I have a better idea now on detecting beaches with the Xterra.

Works great there.

Read up on all the coils. Some are waterproof, some are only water resistant. Not sure if you plan to hunt the wet sand and suds and submerse the coil.
