Which Analog Detector

If you were a kind of Newbe...and wanted to try one of White's great Analog machines which one would be easier to operate, while still giving good depth and target ID. I was considering the XL Pro ??????

YES THE XL pro is a vintage detector that will hold its place for a long time. Great machine!

The XL Pro is top notch. I have detected for over 30 years and believe the XL Pro is one of the finest, if not THE finest discriminating detector ever made. Analog or digital! I would much rather make a decision as to "dig or not dig" based on a slight deflection of the needle as opposed to watching a series of digital numbers bounce around. If you look around, there are still a few dealers who have the XLPro. HH Randy

If you're shopping for a used unit, the 6000 Pro XL is the exact same detector, but they simply made a name change about four years ago or so.

It's a very important part of my personal battery. Get it and one accessory coils and you're going to love it!
